EuroAion Server Rules
The rules below apply to all players. They are enforced by the Administration and GMs; ignorance of the rules does not excuse their violation.
The following list is not exhaustive. The Administration and GMs are entitled to set any additional punishment they deem fair, or to waive a penalty when warranted. Actions that clearly damage the game or its process but are not explicitly covered here may be punished at the Administration's discretion — up to permanent deletion of the account.
In case of repeated violation of the same rule, the duration of the punishment is decided by the Administration and cannot be shorter than the previous penalty — it may also be extended or result in account deletion. For privacy reasons the Administration reserves the right not to disclose the specifics of sanctions taken; persons unrelated to a case have no right to demand such information, and the Administration is not obliged to provide evidence justifying a sanction. The Administration may also refuse to provide any service without stating a reason.

Rules and punishments

1Impermissible information and statements
It is forbidden to publish — in the game or on the forum, in oral or written form — impermissible information and statements, including content that is illegal, destructive, rude, vulgar, threatening, offensive, expressing hatred, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, calling for racial, national, religious, social or political hatred, of pornographic nature, or violating generally recognised moral and ethical rules. Using such information in an altered or alternative form to bypass these restrictions is equally prohibited. Insults in the whisper chat are not moderated — use the block function to stop messages from specific users. Pursuing and harassing users by creating multiple characters or accounts to evade blocks is prohibited.
Punishment: Forum account ban. Chat mute 300+ minutes / temporary or permanent ban of all accounts.

2Profanity, insults and offensive language
Using profanity, insults and abusive language towards other players in the game, on the forum and on other EuroAion resources is prohibited, including offending relatives and parents. This applies to such words written incorrectly or in an alternative way to bypass restrictions, and to using them in nicknames, legion names, pet names and similar. It is prohibited to use as login or character name (or their parts) any symbols or combinations that call for racial, national, religious, social or political hatred, have pornographic content, violate moral norms, contain advertising, or constitute means of individualisation of third parties — names, surnames or patronymics of other persons. Avoid politics, religion, COVID-19, terrorism, criminality and racism in conversations. Insults in whisper chat are not moderated — use block. Harassing users via multiple characters/accounts to dodge blocks is prohibited.
Punishment: Chat mute 300+ minutes / forum ban 3+ days / temporary or permanent ban of all accounts.

3Negative chat behaviour
Behaviour negatively affecting chat dialogues is prohibited — overuse of game actions and emotions, advertising of budget quotations and/or of products and services beyond the Aion universe, creating obstacles for passage through locations (blocking important NPCs).
Punishment: Chat mute 300+ minutes / temporary or permanent ban of all accounts.

4Unauthorised account access
Any attempt to gain unauthorised access to other players' accounts is prohibited.
Punishment: Permanent ban of all accounts of the hacker and of anyone who shared their account, if complicity is suspected.

5Third-party software and client modification
The use of third-party software or modifications of the game client to obtain in-game advantages by non-gameplay means is prohibited. Shugo Console, Synapse, WTFast and similar tools are allowed. AHK is not allowed.
Punishment: Permanent ban of all accounts of the player and of anyone sharing accounts with them, if complicity is suspected.

6Game bugs and server exploits
Intentional use of game bugs or server exploits is prohibited.
Punishment: Temporary or permanent ban of all accounts of the player and of those sharing accounts, if complicity is suspected.

7Offensive or obscene names
It is forbidden to give offensive or obscene names to characters, legions and pets, including such words written incorrectly or alternatively to bypass restrictions.
Punishment: From forced renaming to permanent ban of all accounts of the player and of those sharing accounts, if complicity is suspected.

8Impersonation of the Administration
Presenting oneself as a member of the Administration (including Technical Support, GMs and Moderators) or their representatives is prohibited.
Punishment: Permanent ban of all accounts of the player and of those sharing accounts, if complicity is suspected.

9Abyss/Glory Points kill trade
Killing for Abyss Points/Glory Points between characters, via a second window or twin characters is prohibited — both in the open world and on arenas/dungeons, including such actions to finish kill quests.
Punishment: Reduction of Abyss Points (Glory Points) / full removal of AP/GP / account ban / removal of the items obtained.

10Abuse of the project and the Administration
Abusing the project, the Administration of the server and treating it inadequately (including Technical Support, GMs and Moderators) or their representatives is prohibited.
Punishment: Forum account ban. Chat mute 300+ minutes / temporary or permanent ban of all accounts.

11Advertising off-site resources
Advertising or linking any off-site resource without prior approval of the Administration is prohibited.
Punishment: From temporary to permanent ban of all accounts of the player and of those sharing accounts, if complicity is suspected.

12Selling/buying currency, items and accounts
It is forbidden to sell/buy in-game currency (kinah) and game items outside of the internal service (Trade Brokers); to sell/buy/trade game accounts and characters; to sell/buy items from the EuroAion in-game shop and ECoins currency for real money; and to post corresponding announcements or offers.
Punishment: Trading accounts, items or kinah: from temporary to permanent ban of the account / of all the player's accounts. Trading ECoins received as a cooperation reward: full or partial removal of ECoins received as cooperation rewards; full or partial termination of the cooperation; from temporary to permanent ban of the account / of all accounts. All cases are handled individually.

13Forum ban evasion
Evading a forum ban by creating new forum accounts after being banned is prohibited.
Punishment: Ban of game accounts.

14Misleading information, libel and leaking private correspondence
It is forbidden to spread misleading information about the Administration or about players (libel), to deceive the Administration for personal gain, and to share personal conversations with the Administration (including GMs, HGMs and Moderators) in any form without prior approval.
Punishment: From temporary to permanent ban of all the player's accounts.

15Appealing punishments
Criticising or appealing a punishment imposed by a Moderator, GM, HGM or Administrator without presenting evidence that disproves it is prohibited. If the reason for the punishment was not stated, the player may open a topic in the dedicated forum section / a ticket in Discord, contact the Administration by e-mail or in private messages on the forum to learn the reason.
Punishment: Ban of game accounts / ban of forum account.

16Racism and nationalism
Any actions demonstrating racism, nationalism or other provocations of this kind are prohibited.
Punishment: Chat mute / character ban / account ban / ban of all the player's accounts on the server and forum.

17Cooperation to win mass arenas
Cooperating with other players to gain advantages and win on mass arenas is prohibited.
Punishment: Ban of the character or of the entire account of the offender for 1 or more days (per the Administration's decision for each specific case) / reduction of AP or GP / reset of AP or GP to zero. Removal of the obtained items.

18Bots and autonomous actions
Using bots and setting characters to perform autonomous actions (collecting resources, killing monsters and similar) independently of the player is prohibited.
Punishment: First violation — account ban for 1 week, removal of the obtained items (up to removal of all kinah); subsequent — permanent account ban. In the case of farms and multiple accounts involved — permanent ban of all accounts without warnings.

19Multi-account farming (added 26.12.2024)
Using large numbers of accounts to farm items, resources or currency is prohibited. Using large numbers of accounts to create artificial deficits and overload the economy with game items, currency or resources is prohibited. All such cases are handled individually.
Punishment: All cases are handled individually.
Account responsibility
The Administration is not responsible for players' accounts. Users are personally responsible for them, as players often share their accounts with others — which we strongly do NOT recommend. By sharing your account with another person (including publication of the account data, or using weak passwords or the same login information on many internet services), you agree to take full responsibility for whatever happens to the account afterwards. The Administration will not take any action if:
- the account is stolen or its data is changed;
- items disappear from the account or are broken, disenchanted, sold or sent to other people;
- the account is banned due to actions of the person who received access to it by your will;
- ECoins disappear from the account;
- any modifications to the character, items or account are made that you did not make personally;
- and any other cases that happen to the account after / because it was shared with another person.
Ignorance of the rules does not release a player from responsibility. In case of discrepancies between translations, the English version of the rules shall prevail.
